In the weekend i spent time with my brother and his girlfriend, Areeza.

Suddenly we went down to the beach to take photos i had my shades on.

Splash Splash went boi boi when he splashed the water on me.

Aaahh it was freezing it was as cold as frozen ice. At the beach i saw Tanaya, Llyria and T.P having a swim in the sea.

9/11/10

The time when i lost my tooth.

26.10.10

In the weekend I stayed home with my nanny May and Areeza-Rose. While my drunk mum and dad were in town. Finally on Sunday my dad picked me up from my house and his pig dogs.

When we got to my koros there were 35 children there and 20 adults so me and my dad, and chayse snuck to my dads rugby teams reunion Y.M.P and there were heaps of people drinking. Me and Chayse went to the shop and we took ages to choose what we wanted from there so the man told us to hurry up and Chayse swore at him and we ran back to the Marae.

21.10.10

I look like a witch like an ugly star.

I taste like chocolate.

My hair smells like strawberrys dipped in chocolate and i feel evil driving on my dead broom because I'm always evil to my mum.

18.10.10

"Aaaahhh!" screamed the kids on the rides as we walked closer to the hotdog stand. I had butterflies in my stomach and they were tickling me, making me feel sick to go on the rides.

I went to buy some hot yummy chips from the hotdog stand. "YUCK! My chips are raw," I said. Mum growled the hotdog lady.

We walked closer and closer to the rides. The first ride I went on was the big tall super loop. I screamed and screamed until, swish! "Aaaahhh!" I yelled as the super loop went down the circle fast as.

13.10.10

Oh what a misrable day out today.
The rain feels like snow flakes going through my fingers.
Outside sounds like thundery hale stones banging on the roof.
The rain tastes like gooey lollies and it smells like perfum.

12.10.10

This morning I struggled to get up cause dad sneaked the remote and changed the channel to my channel, so i was up all night watching TV.
As dad turned on the warm relaxing shower i closed my eyes and i closed my eyes and i was slowly going back to sleep until dad said YOUR SHOWER IS READY. I slowly dragged myself to the shower. Then suddenly there was a bang bang at the door HURRY UP HURRY UP HAYVEN GET OUT OF THE SHOWER! said dad. I just standed there and i didnt listen to another word they said.

WELL JUST THOUGHT I WOULD COME ON TO MY BLOG AND WHAT DO I SEE...
MY LAST BLOG IN WAS 5 MONTH'S AGO...
SO WHAT DID I DO TODAY...MMM
LET ME THINK...
THATS RIGHT I WAS IN KOKA VICKIE MIHAKA'S CLASS...
THE STUDENT'S TASK TODAY WAS FINDING THE PRICES OF VEGES
FOR INSTANT HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST TO BUY SAY 2 LETTUCES
PER WEEK FOR 4 PEOPLE PER YEAR...
????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
NOW AFTER ALL THAT... WOULD IT BE CHEAPER TO BUY VEGES OR GROW VEGES...
AFTER LUNCH THEY TALKED ABOUT TURANGAWAEWAE...
A PLACE TO STAND...
WHAT DOE'S TOKOMARU BAY MEAN TO YOU...
OR WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT TOKOMARU BAY...
Well Tokomaru Bay to me is the place to be...
When I was younger I didn't really like Tokomaru Bay...
I had to like it because this is where we moved to from the back station Ihungia...So as life went on a few years later I now have a son named Ptolemey Alexandria George Christie Elers Niania...
I am so glad to be still in Tokomaru Bay bringing my son up with the help of my awesome whanau and friends who I love and adore...Everyone in Tokomaru Bay are all one big whanau...
My son is well known by all thoses around him...
I thank God for placing me in this beautiful place with beautiful people...
The beach is just down the road...The hills surrounding this place...
Like they protect this whole place with love...
We have 4 Marae's that welcome us and others with love...
My son will learn more things that I never did, in fact I'm learning things with him...So I take back what I said in the every day...
What was I thinking!!!
TOKOMARU BAY IS THE PLACE TO BE!!!!!RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW!!!

H..is for her undying love she gives to me and more...
E..is for her eyes when she cries when she is proud of me in everything I do...
R..is for I will love her for the rest of my life...
Put them all together they spell MOTHER the only word that means the world to me....

30.4.10 Friday
Today I went for a walk to the beach with the Teina class.
I was so excited walking to the beach with a class who are so full of life and excited too.
When we got to the beach, all you could feel was the cool breeze against your face, the smell and sound of the salty blue/white waves smashing on the sand.
I could see the sun shining brightly on to the sea, which sent sparkly glittery shapes and sizes.
On the hills you could see shapes and colours.
All the trees were all standing in straight lines like soldiers preparing for war.
The ripples of the hills weaved together like a beautiful weaved kete
To me it was so fantastic looking at Nature through eyes wide open and using your imagination.
As we all walked back to the school I came across a shell.
I picked it up and thought What elements has this shell got.
It could be a home for the hermit crab.
You could use the shell for decorations on picture frames or in gardens.
You could even make shell mobiles to hang in your room.
This beautiful shell is round and spiral like shape.
The colours are brownie pinkish with a white sparkly flick all over.
This shell is from the ocean.
All things in the ocean always end up on the shore, for people like us that walk along the beach and find colourful beautiful things.
We pick them up and our imagination starts to wonder.
I think all things of Nature are so beautiful....

In the weekend Hohaia and I went hunting with Herbit in
the forest. We saw a brown horse. We saw a baby calf it was dead. We ran its head over on the motorbike. I fell off the motorbike. I got back on. We went fast down the hill. The hill was muddy. Hohaia's cousin has a farm. On Sunday we went hunting. We had to check the possum traps because Herbit didn't check them. The hill was bumpy.

My stick feels like a bumpy road.
My stick smells like the sea.

Wednesday 6 May 2009
Kia ora, kia ora. We've had a great start back at school for term 3. Numeracy and literacy programs are well under way and preperation for the Nati Awards next term is humming along nicely. Today we are having a visitor in the Tuakana class, Chadey Boy Chambers! He will be helping a group of young song writers/singers for the music composition part of the Nati Awards Competition. I can't wait to see what they come up with!!!

Wednesday 24 March 09
Wow, it's been 20 day's since I have posted a comment! That's not very good! I will aim to post something every week for the rest of the year.
Respect is in the eye of the beholder. Everyone deserves a little respect as it is our divine right to be treated how we treat others.
Tuakana ma, this goes for blogging too! You need to edit your your blogs, remember that this is for the whole world to see and please leave respectable comments on other peoples pages.
Let's have a ggood if not great end of term one!

Wednesday 4 March 09
Two more sleeps until camp!!
Kia ora whanau! We are well on our learning journey for 2009 and would like to invite our tuakana whanau to attend a whakawhanaungatanga evening here in our classroom. Dates are still to be confirmed but there will be a panui sent out with each student along with invites as soon as we receive confirmation. This night will consist of dinner, fun and games, curriculum korero and finally a sleep over for our tuakana. Further details to follow so watch this space!!!

Thursday, February 26, 2009Hey whanau! We've been really productive in the tuakana class this week... Numeracy is well on its way, our publishing folders are looking GANGSTAH, as are our Kaupapa books and our gardens are starting to pump. AND, we even have some awsome swimmers that are competing in the East Coast Swimming Competitions up at Te Wai U. (Good luck guys and gals). What more could we ask for?
The camp/curriculum evening has been a hit with students and whanau. We've got lots of support... Thank you Aunty Eva (she's going to feed us, yay!), Jim and Bernie (letting us use their kayaks), Aunty Kura and Harry (showing off their students surf skills), Koka Hoana (generally good for pumping up our competitiveness!), Nanny Pani (Mmmmm fried bread, can't wait), Papa John Ku (crayfisherman), Joe Chaffey and Tamararo (taking some students eeling) and Maria Tamepo (sleeping over with us). There is always room for more whanau so feel free to come along and join in!
We will also be doing some other activities during the night... Look out for the midnight swimmers in the pool and we'll try not to keep the whole of the bay up with our beautifull voices on singstar!
Bring on week 6!
